There's no "trailer park" in "Life is Beautiful"!

We had a great set of music for our focus on addiction this morning and learned a valuable proofreading lesson in the process.  We kicked off the set with "Life is Beautiful" from Sixx:A.M.  Midway through the song, the lyrics say, "There’s nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home". However, the lyrics we ran down from the internet to put into ProPresenter said, "there’s nothing like a trailer park to find your way back home".
FIrst, let me say, I don't listen to Sixx:A.M. so I didn't pay attention to the lyrics.  However, I wondered...what in the heck does a trailer park have to do with breaking an addiction? And the answer...it doesn't.  Somebody put the wrong lyrics on the net and we didn't check them.

Lesson learned!

Sound Method at Journey

We didn't have a band for our first preview service so we started looking for a group that could play and ran across an ad for a group called Sound Method.  We gave them a call, told them what we were about, and invited them to play since their style was great and lyrics were even better.  We couldn't have asked for a better first worship experience with guys that are all heart and definitely the real deal.  In fact, everyone like them so much, they're playing our Easter Launch.  Here are some videos from January.  Thought you might lake to take a look.  They are booking a tour for the release of their CD, so, if your interested, give them a shout. You guys are awesome!

A Band With Heart

The guys who are forming the band have some of the biggest hearts in Chattanooga. They are putting in time learning, rehearsing, and performing music at Journey because they believe in reaching out to disconnected people with great music. I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate you and the impact you are making at Journey. Let's Make Some Noise!

The Band Is Coming...

We are 2 1/2 months out from our first preview service and we just signed the deal with Peavey for the Versarray system. We don't have the band completely together, but the system will absolutely rock! Plus, it just looks incredibly cool. We'll be holding auditions in the next couple of weeks for band members. So, if you want to play, email Scott. It is the chance to play for the greatest live band worship experience in Chattanooga. Series369_left
